2007 Winter Farmers Market

The Winter Market comes to the River Garden for another season.

Once again, the River Garden in Brattleboro will be transformed into a bustling indoor farmers market on Saturdays beginning in November.

This year, the market will run weekly through December with the exception of November 17th, the date for the last outdoor market at the Brattleboro Area Farmers Market regular location on Rt. 9 in West Brattleboro.

POS will also be "taking the day off" from the market on Saturday, Dec. 1st, the date of the Annual BAFM Holiday Market, which will again be held at the River Garden.

And this year, we are extending the market to include 3 Saturdays between January and March.  The Winter Farmers Market will be open on Saturday, January 12th (Martin Luther King weekend), February 16th (President's weekend) and March 15th (St. Patrick's Day).

Check back as the opening date of the market approaches for a list of vendors and links to their websites.  Or better yet, plan your Saturday mornings to include a visit to the River Garden for your locally grown food, homemade foods or hand crafted holiday gift items, enjoy some music and even sit down for some lunch while you are there. Our goal is to foster both the demand from food shoppers and the supply  from growers in the region for year-round access to locally grown food.  So put a visit to the market on your weekly "To Do" List and support local agriculture.
